Charter school opens new facility in struggling Chicago neighborhood

From The Chicago Tribune: A new $20 million facility for Gary Comer College Prep has opened on the South Side of Chicago. The school was established in 2008, but did not have a permanent until earlier this month. The school is a legacy of the late Gary Comer, the founder of the Lands’ End clothing empire, who grew up in the neighborhood and never forgot it. The architect is John Ronan.
