From The Chicago Tribune: A teen charged with killing a fellow student at a Chicago high school had been bullied and was struck by the victim before the fatal stabbing, the teen's lawyer says. Christian Gonzalez, 17, was ordered held without bail after being charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Chris Wormely, 17, and the wounding of another student at Infinity Chicago, an alternative high school on the city's South Side. Prosecutors say the students were in line Thursday morning to go through security screening before classes. But before they got to the screening area, Gonzalez pulled out a knife and attacked Wormely by stabbing him in the neck and back. During the attack, a third student who attempted to break up the attack was "sliced" by the knife, prosecutors say. Defense attorney Kent Delgado says Gonzalez had not been attending school recently because he had been bullied and teased by Wormely. The lawyer says that immediately before the stabbing, Wormely punched Gonzalez in the head.
