A school bus driver in Chicago has admitted to authorities that he drove children to school after downing shots of whiskey, and later drank a six-pack of beer before causing a chain-reaction crash that killed one and injured eight. Authorities says bus driver Jerry Moncrease had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit and was speeding as fast as 70 miles an hour when the vehicle slammed into a sport-utility vehicle earlier this week. He has been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence. He drove a bus for children with special needs for the Bryden Transportation Co., which has a contract with Chicago Public Schools.
