With a $254 million campus now open at Kennedy-King College in Chicago, Mayor Richard M. Daley says he wants to duplicate the process at all seven City College campuses. The 40-acre campus, which opened in August, includes six buildings positioned around a classic quadrangle. The library, bookstore, restaurant, athletic facilities and day care center are open to the public. Officials say creating campus settings for community colleges changes the culture of the educational setting.
