Chicago's Catholic schools chief resigns

Nicholas Wolsonovich will resign his post as superintendent of Chicago's Roman Catholic school system by the end of the 2007-08 school year. Cardinal Francis George appointed Wolsonovich to the job in 2001. The archdiocese of Chicago has the second largest Catholic school system in the nation, with 256 schools and an enrollment of 98,000 students.
