22-classroom facility cost $2 million less than what had been projected

From The Tampa Bay Times: St. Petersburg Christian School is adding a new $3.4 million building to its campus in St. Petersburg, Fla. It has 22 classrooms, an industrial kitchen, cafeteria, science lab and elevators. The 31,750-square-foot building replaces a two-story facility and two portables. The project has been projected to cost $5.4 million, but school officials say they benefited from a stagnant construction industry and low interest rates.
