Cincinnati board will move more quickly on razing former school

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: The Cincinnati school board has approved an emergency order to speed up demolition of a vacant school building that was damaged last month in a fire. Following the fire, the city's fire department cited the school district for numerous safety code violations in the vacant building, which housed Quebec Heights School until it closed in 2010. Crews had been scheduled to tear the school down in February, but now it will likely come down by the end of January. Demolition will cost $213,000.
