Clayton County, Ga., begins construction of high school

Campus in Riverdale will be the district's 9th high school

The Clayton County (Ga.) district has begun construction on a 300,000-square-foot high school in Riverdale. The new $48.1 million school will be able to hold 1,850 students. It will have 96 classrooms, including five career technology labs and a lecture hall. It also will have a music and arts suite and a 1,850-seat gymnasium complete with a walking track on the mezzanine level. The campus will be the ninth high school in the 52,800-student district.
