Cleveland district will continue to shrink, consultants predict

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: The Cleveland school district, which packed in more than 150,000 students in the late 1960s, will shrink to about a fourth of that size within a decade, consultants predict. Enrollment will drop to fewer than 36,000 in the 2018-19 school year, according to a draft of a report by the DeJong-Healy firm. The school district does not yet have an official count for this year, but officials say enrollment now is about 50,000 students.
