Cleveland school CEO announces retirement

Eugene Sanders will leave district Feb. 1

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: Cleveland schools Chief Executive Officer Eugene Sanders will retire Feb. 1, but he says his new academic transformation plan is in good hands. Sanders has called his reform plan the most important part of his 31 years in education. But the CEO will walk away just six months after its launching, saying he wants to take some time and decide what to do next.
