Ohio state school board won't approved Cleveland reform proposal

From The Columbus Dispatch: The Ohio Board of Education is calling for a “collaborative” and “bipartisan” fix for Cleveland schools, and has rejected Gov. John Kasich’s plea that the panel outright endorse a plan pushed by Mayor Frank Jackson. After more than an hour of debate, the 19-member board passed a resolution urging the mayor, lawmakers, teachers and others to work on a plan for improving student performance and financial woes.
