Columbus (Ohio) district is laying off 164 employees

113 teachers among those notified that their positions are being eliminated
From The Columbus Dispatch: More than 160 Columbus (Ohio) school employees are being laid off to avoid asking voters for more money before 2012. Of the 164 employees being notified that their jobs will end in June, 113 are teachers. The district has more than 7,000 employees districtwide; about 4,000 are certified school employees, including teachers, tutors, aides and nurses.
