From The Columbus Dispatch: Columbus (Ohio) district officials say they want to fire the architect on a $26 million project because he kept secret that a major partner had left the project, making him unqualified for the work. However, that reason is different from what officials told the school board last week. Administrators want to dismiss Tony Udeagbala and his architectural firm, Machisa Design Services, from a middle school renovation project because the firm parted ways with its major design partner, URS. Previously, administrators had told the school board that the basis for the dismissal was that the project was over budget and that an earthquake fault runs through the construction site.
