Community college in New York begins building its first student housing (w/Video)

$16 million facility at Corning Community College is set to open next year

From The Elmira Star-Gazette: Corning Community College in Corning, N.Y., has begun building the institution's first residence hall. The $16 million facility is designed to accommodate 322 students in 84 suites and is scheduled to open in fall 2013. The residence hall will enable students to live on campus for the first time. It will be built behind the Commons building, which houses the dining hall and other student-focused spaces.
