Liberty Christian School near Denton is replacing other unsafe lighting poles
From The Austin American-Statesman: A 70-foot pole that collapsed last week on a soccer field next to Liberty Christian School near Denton, Texas, was acquired from Whitco Co. LLP, a Fort Worth company whose giant lighting poles have been falling nationwide and were the subject of a federal consumer product safety warning. A spokeswoman for the school says that in addition to the toppled lighting tower, the school is replacing three other high mast lighting poles that engineers have determined to be unsafe. The athletic complex adjacent to the private school will remain closed until an inspection is complete.
