Kaye Burnside was accused of misusing district credit cards

From The Los Angeles Times: The board of the Compton (Calif.) Unified School District has fired the superintendent Kaye E. Burnside over her misuse of district credit cards for personal purchases. Burnside has been on administrative leave since late May. An investigation found that she had made about $14,000 in personal charges on the district card and did not reimburse the district for several thousand dollars' worth. The district has a troubled history, including being placed in state receivership from 1993 to 2001 because of a dismal financial and academic record.
