James Sohn’s departure coincides with retirement of superintendent

From The Los Angeles Times: The head of the $20-billion construction program for the Los Angeles Unified School District has resigned, the second departure in two years of the top official for the school-construction program. James Sohn had the support of Supt. Ramon C. Cortines, but Sohn, 44, also has come under scrutiny for his handling of contractors in the district's massive school-building program.
