Bonds approved by voters in 2010 are paying for the upgrades

From The Santa Barbara Sound: Several construction projects in the Santa Barbara (Calif.) Unified School District will be ready to debut at the start of the school year. Upgrades toSanta Barbara High School’s kitchen and cafeteria are expected to be open by the fall. It features a new walk-in freezer and refrigerator, as well as an upgraded training kitchen where cooking classes can be taught. San Marcos High School is seeing its first major infrastructure upgrades since the school’s founding. New classrooms are being built that will house a computer lab and a Health Academy. At Cleveland Elementary, playgrounds and fields will be upgraded, and the area outside kindergarten classrooms will see new retaining walls and new surface laid in.
