Contract approved for new superintendent in Jefferson County (Ky.) district

Donna Hargens comes to Louisville from Wake County, N.C.

From The Louisville Courier-Journal: The Jefferson County (Ky.) school board has approved a four-year contract with incoming Superintendent Donna Hargens that will pay her $276,000 annually plus benefits. Hargens, 53, who will start Aug. 1, will make slightly more than outgoing Superintendent Sheldon Berman, who made $273,000 annually. Hargens comes to Louisville from the Wake County (N.C.) school district, where she has been the chief academic officer.
