Cornell is building biofuel research facility

11,000-square-foot lab will study ethanol, other biofuels
Cornell University is planning to build an 11,000-square-foot Biofuels Research Laboratory on its Ithaca, N.Y., campus. Scheduled to be completed by December, the $6 million lab is being constructed as part of a $10 million grant to advance technologies that convert perennial grasses and woody biomass into ethanol and other biofuels.
