Couple pledges millions more to Eckerd College

College board chairman and wife promise $15 million on top of previous $25 million donation

Miles Collier, chairman of the board of trustees atEckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., and his wife, Parker, have pledged an additional $15 million to the school from a family foundation if other donors would match the amount. That is in addition to the $25 million that the couple had already pledged to the school in 2006. The money will pay for a new $30-million science complex and renovation of existing science resources.
