Danville (Ind.) district will open middle school for grades 5 to 8

From The Indianapolis Star: After a test run with a few students last year, a new middle school in Danville, Ind., will be fully open when classes start for the 2009-10 school term. The $24 million facility was built for about 1,200 students but will have about 600 this year. The middle school will serve students in Grades 5-8. Since January, one wing of the 196,000-square-foot, two-story facility was occupied by seventh- and eighth-graders. Fifth- and sixth-graders will join them this year in another wing.
