Detroit public school enrollment higher than expected

From The Detroit News: The Detroit school system says that district enrollment is 1,800 more than expected when officials put together their budget for this year. As of Oct. 26, the district had 85,581 enrolled students. The school district's 2009-10 budget projected 83,777 students this year.
