Detroit district accuses teachers union of unfair labor practices

From The Detroit News: The Detroit school district has filed an unfair labor practice complaint against the Detroit Federation of Teachers over the union's directive urging substitute teachers to stop developing lesson plans, grading assignments and meeting with parents during conferences. Among other claims, the district alleges a letter posted on the union's website Nov. 12 promoted an illegal work stoppage.
