Former Catholic high school in Detroit to be demolished

From The Detroit News: Alumni of the former East Catholic High School in Detroit are returning to the site on Sheridan Street to reminisce and collect bricks from the building before the crumbling, vandalized structure is demolished. Thousands of students attended the school, which was St. Anthony Grade School and High School before becoming East Catholic High School in 1969. But declining enrollment forced it to close in 2005. Vandalism at the site has prompted the Archdiocese to demolish the building.
