FromThe Detroit Free Press: Some low-income students at Cass Technical High School in Detroit were charged to take advanced placement exams, even though the school received a grant so the exams would be free for those students. The school netted $12,700 as a result of this practice; the principal and an assistant principal have been disciplined. The case was one of several that district's inspector general's office has investigated in its first year of existence.
