Detroit school district police officer injured by thief at shuttered school

From The Detroit News: A police officer for the Detroit school districtis recovering after being attacked by a vandal trying to strip the fire-damaged Paul Robeson Academy of valuables. Police say officers arrested three men, one of whom took a sharp piece of metal and struck Officer John Greene in the head, chest and arms. Another officer and a police dog stopped the assault. Greene was treated at a hospital and released. The historic school has been closed since a fire in May, and the district plans to demolish the building.
