Catholic girls high school planned for Detroit suburbs

A new Catholic high school for girls could break ground in the coming weeks inWixom, Mich. St. Catherine of Siena Academy could open next fall with ninth- and 10th-graders and will eventually educate about 700 girls a year through grade 12. The school was to be built next door to Detroit Catholic Central in Novi, but the idea was scrapped because of rezoning issues. The project is to cost about $34 million and is being paid for through fund-raising and bonds. To read The Detroit Free Press article, click here.
