Ousted Detroit superintendent may sue district

The recently ousted superintendent of Detroit Public Schools is threatening to sue the district, contending that he was fired for asking the FBI to probe financial irregularities in a district department. That's according to a letter that an attorney for former Superintendent William Coleman III sent to school board President Jimmy Womack. Coleman asserts that the school board's action violates the Whistleblower Protection Act.
