Neighbors don't want city to approve project

An Atlanta developer wants to build a 144-unit student housing project called Timberland Place near Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Woodland Elementary School. The development also would be near the city's Steinmeyer neighborhood, some of whose residents have argued vehemently and emotionally in several meetings that it should not be allowed.
