Voters in Dodge City (Kan.) district say no to $60 million proposal

A $60 million school bond issue to finance a new Dodge City, Kan., middle school has been defeated. The rejection by voters means district leaders will have to go back to the drawing board to address middle school needs. Even if the proposal had been approved, the middle school project was in jeopardy because that state of Kansas might not have been able to provide its share of the funding.
