Durham (N.C.) district is planning for $200 million bond proposal this fall

The Durham (N.C.) school district is planning to ask voters this fall to approve a bond issue of nearly $200 million. The $200 million price tag is nearly twice the amount voters approved in the latest bond referendum in 2003. If approved, the money would pay for the most essential needs: building new schools and getting students out of temporary trailer classrooms.
