Dutchess County, N.Y., voters reject bonds for alternative high school

From the Poughkeepskie Journal: Voters in Dutchess County, N.Y., have rejected a $29.65 million bond request from the county's Board of Cooperative Educational Services. The board, which represents 13 school systems in the county, had sought the money to build a 66,500-square-foot alternative high school building and make enhancements to its Career and Technical Institute at its Salt Point campus in the town of Hyde Park.
