$25 million facility emphasizes environmental sustainability

From The Tampa Bay Times: Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., is getting ready to open a $25 million science building with an emphasis on environmental sustainability. The James Center for Molecular and Life Sciences is scheduled to open on Jan. 31. The most touted eco-friendly feature is the use of reclaimed water for the building's heating and ventilation system, doing away with the need to evaporate potable water at a rate of 2,000 to 3,000 gallons per day.
