FROM AUGUST 2008: Edison (N.J.) school board officials have agreed to move its scheduled $57 million bond election from Sept. 30--Rosh Hashanah--to Dec. 9. Members of the Jewish community expressed outrage that the vote was scheduled on one of the religion's holiest days. They asked the board to reschedule.
