Education aide dies on field trip in Maine

66-year-old woman fell down an embankment on a trail hike

From The Bangor Daily News: An educational technician in Maine who was chaperoning a field trip on the Appalachian Trail died after stumbling down an embankment. Jeanne G. Lynch, 66, of Fairfield, died while being flown by helicopter a hospital. The accident happened on the return hike from Little Wilson Falls near the town of Monson. Lynch worked with special-education students in School Administrative District 53 for 11 years. SAD 53 serves the towns of Pittsfield, Burnham and Detroit.
