Davis (Calif.) district proposes to close middle school

Hundreds of demonstrators turned out to protest the proposed closure of Emerson Junior High School in Davis, Calif. The proposal to close the school says that sending Emerson's 500 students to the city's two other middle schools would save up to $600,000 a year.
