Escambia County (Fla.) district will build elementary school in Pensacola

From The Pensacola News Journal: Construction is to begin this month on the newest school in Escambia County, Fla. The two-story, 120,000-square-foot school in Pensacola will replace the aging Allie Yniestra and George S. Hallmark elementary schools, which are scheduled to close after the 2010-11 school year. The new campus will house up to 800 students in kindergarten through the fifth grade. The school will incorporate eco-friendly building materials, design and energy use. The architect is Quina Grundhoefer Architects.
