From The Yale Daily News: The estate of slain Yale University pharmacology student Annie Le has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the university, alleging that pervasive sexual harassment at Yale “emboldened” her killer, Raymond Clark III, whom, the suit contends, was hired through Yale’s negligence. The suit argues that Yale is liable for Le’s Sept. 8, 2009, death in 11 different ways. It also accuses Yale of failing to promptly investigate Le’s disappearance. Clark is serving a 44-year sentence for Le's murder.
SEPTEMBER 2009...from The New Haven Register: Police have arrested a suspect in the slaying of Yale University graduate student Annie Le. Raymond Clark, 24, who was an animal technician at Yale, has been charged with murder. Bond was set at $3 million. New Haven, Conn., Police Chief James Lewis says the case stemmed from "workplace violence." There is no evidence of a romantic relationship between the two, police say. Le, 24, died of asphyxiation. Her body was found in the recess of a wall in the laboratory building where Clark worked.
Earlier...from The Boston Globe: Police in New Haven, Conn., say they have found what they believe is the body of a Yale University graduate student hidden inside the wall of a university building where she was last seen five days before. The body, presumed to be that of doctoral student Annie Le, was recovered in an area of the building that houses utility cables that run between floors. The building is in the school's medical complex, about a mile from the main campus.
