From The Washington Post: Fairfax County (Va.) School Superintendent Jack D. Dale says he will retire when his contract ends in June 2013. Dale, 62, has led the 175,000-student system since 2004. Before coming to Fairfax County, he was superintendent of the Frederick County (Md.) school district.
