Victim of sex abuse will receive $3.7 million judgment from Kentucky school district

FromThe Lexington Herald-Leader: The Fayette County (Ky.) school district has agreed to end its appeals and pay a $3.7 million judgment in a sex-abuse case. Carol Lynne Maner won the judgment in 2007, and last month, the state Supreme Court let the award stand. Maner sued the Fayette school system in 2003. She contended that she was sexually abused by various teachers and school employees while a student in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She also aruged that the school district did nothing to stop it.
