Fayette County (Ky.) district acquires site for elementary

650-student campus in Lexington would open in 2015

From The Lexington Herald-Leader: The Fayette County (Ky.) School Board is buying a 15-acre site in Lexington for a new elementary school, which will be designed to accommodate about 650 students. Construction is expected to start during the 2013-14 school year, with the school opening in fall 2015. The district last opened an elementary school, Wellington Elementary, in 2011.
