Butterfield Trail Elementary School will get a major facelift and nearly double in size if the Fayetteville (Ark.) School District can find the money. The district set aside $4.4 million for the renovation, but the proposed design and new state standards on school construction have upped the price tag to about $7.8 million. The proposed renovation would add about 34,000 square feet of space so the school can accommodate 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The architect is Crafton Tull & Associates.
