Earlier: The Federal Way (Wash.) school district has again place a $149 million school construction bond on the ballot. The May 15 proposal is the same one that failed to pass in November. If the bond passed, the district would receive $20 million in matching state funds. The money would enable the district to rebuild Lakota Middle School and four elementary schools--Lakeland, Valhalla, Panther Lake and Sunnycrest; rebuild and relocate the district's Transportation, Nutrition Services and Maintenance facilities; and upgrade 24 other schools and district facilities.
