Florida district will be using hybrid school buses

Manatee County says it's the first district in the state to put the buses into service.

Two new hybrid school buses will soon be blazing a trail to Manatee County, Fla. The Manatee school district is the first and only in Florida to buy and use these hybrids. Several Manatee school district bus drivers and mechanics have trained to drive and maintain them. An unveiling of the buses is planned for next month at Braden River High School.
