Enrollment stagnates in Central Florida

For years, Central Florida schools have bemoaned the student population explosion and the pricey consequences of housing and teaching all those kids. As another school year starts, some districts wonder where all the new students have gone. Even as the region's overall population continues to grow, some counties are projecting student populations that are flat or falling. Experts blame the high price of housing and insurance, as well as condo conversions and a sluggish economy, for driving families away.
