From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: Daniel Burns, former chief operating officer of the Cleveland school district, has been sentenced to six years in prison. He was convicted in June of racketeering, theft in office and tampering with records.

Jurors convicted Burns of racketeering, theft in office and tampering with records. Prosecutors say Burns, 54, faked the purchase of six duplicating machines and stole nearly $155,000 from the district.
