Fort Madison (Iowa) district plans school construction

Facility would house grades 4 to 8

From The Hawkeye: The Fort Madison (Iowa) School Board has approved final design plans for a new school to house grades 4 to 8. If everything remains on track, construction should begin this summer; the new school is slated to open in September 2012. The school is expected to cost nearly $19.8 million. The school's base design includes two floors and two wings connected by a common area consisting of a cafeteria, hallways, administrative offices and gymnasium.The architect is DLR Group.
