Fort Worth seeks bond of nearly $600 million

The Fort Worth (Texas) district has placed a $593.6 million bond proposal on the November ballot. The money would enable the district to build two middle schools and four elementary schools. It also would pay for additions, renovations and upgrades of classrooms and science labs throughout the district. Fort Worth's last bond proposal, a $398 million package, was approved in 1999.
