Parents ask district to end use of seclusion rooms

Advocates and parents of students with disabilities want theFrancis Howell (Mo.) school district to shut down the use of seclusion rooms, saying they discriminate against children with disabilities if they are not used for other students. The Howell district says the "timeout rooms" are used as part of a student's individual education plan when behavior causes him or her to be a danger to themselves or others.
